Professional Sony camera for drone applications

Professional Sony camera for drone applications

A 35mm full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R™ CMOS image sensor with approximately 61.0 million effective pixels offers extraordinary sensitivity, resolution and dynamic range. Operating in real-time, the advanced BIONZ XR™ image processing engine delivers natural gradations and realistic colours with low noise for stills and movies. With high resolution, low noise and wide dynamic range imagery, the ILX-LR1 can reveal the finest details like small scratches and cracks during inspection, investigation, surveying and mapping. A wide ISO range of 100-32000 allows the camera to operate in most daylight conditions.

Light, adaptable design for remote operations

Light, adaptable design for remote operations with drones The ILX-LR1 is designed for industrial applications that have no need for a conventional camera body, LCD monitor, viewfinder, grip, Multi Interface (MI) Shoe or battery-driven functionality, all in a lightweight and compact design. The weight of the camera body is just 243g*, while its dimensions are 100 x 74 x 42.5 mm.

The lower weight means longer flight times, and the compact body fits into smaller drones, allowing high-altitude shooting jobs to be completed quickly. A 3fps continuous shooting capability, which is suitable for drone mapping, enables rapid completion of high-altitude shooting saving you time.

Dedicated SDK for integration with bespoke applications

Designed for embedded applications with screw holes and robust connectors.

The Sony Camera Remote SDK allows users to control the ILX-LR1’s menus and other functions from their own software applications remotely. By integrating an API into the system, it becomes possible to remotely control the camera from a computer, allowing changes to camera settings, shutter release, live view monitoring, and more. With the Sony Camera Remote SDK, users’ applications can link unique image IDs with drone position data in post-processing.
